Although the SHOW team provides technical and infrastructural services, a central organisation is needed which will be responsible for maintaining agreements on common services features e.g. interface features, operational and maintenance policies for supporting consistency among contributors, for prioritising developments and for deciding on appropriate policies. This is the role of the SHOW steering group. The steering group represents the range of contributors to SHOW and ensures that the SHOW service develops in ways which are consistent with the needs of the Health Service as a whole.
